Where Individuals and Communities Grow

with Self-Leadership, Strength and Support

At Roots and Wings CIC, we are dedicated to making stress and trauma-informed education and support accessible to everyone.

We believe that every person, regardless of background, neurotype, or financial means, deserves the tools to understand themselves, regulate their body, and transform their nervous system responses, build resilience, and step into empowered, SELF-led lives.

Why Our Work Matters

1 in 4 adults in the UK will experience a mental health or mind wellbeing challenge each year, and rates continue to rise.

Neurodivergent individuals are significantly more likely to experience chronic stress, anxiety, and social exclusion without tailored, trauma-informed support.

Research shows that workplace stress costs UK employers billions annually in lost productivity, sickness absence and turnover.

At Roots and Wings CIC, we fill a critical gap in community wellbeing.
Through accessible, evidence-informed workshops grounded in somatic, physiological, and energetic understanding, we help people build ‘educated’ life-long resilience, clarity, and SELF-leadership skills.

When people truly begin to understand themselves,

something powerful happens….

Shame begins to shrink, and guilt begins to soften.

They realise that many of their reactions, habits, and coping patterns are never signs of weakness or failure, they are simply intelligent responses to internal pressure, stress, and past experiences.

What once felt “wrong with me” becomes “this makes sense.”

From this place of understanding, growth and healing

feels safer and hopeful.

People stop judging themselves and start listening inwardly, recognising that their nervous system has been communicating all along. Their responses are no longer seen as a reflection of personal worth, but as information…..

….and information can be worked with, supported, and gently transformed.

Our Vision

A future where communities across the UK have equitable access to stress and trauma-informed education.

Where individuals are empowered to understand their nervous systems, build self-regulation skills, and thrive with connection, autonomy, and resilience.

As Founder of Roots and Wings, and with years of practice in somatic, trauma-informed and neurodivergent facilitation and coaching, Catherine has dedicated her career to expanding access to embodied education that helps people live with fuller presence, autonomy, and resilience.

Her work bridges physiological and nervous system understanding with compassionate facilitation, making complex concepts accessible and actionable for individuals and organisations alike.

Our Approach
